AFTER HIGH SCHOOL
Home > Cadet Programs > After High School
If you ask us, the most important thing you can do while you’re in high school is
prepare for college and a 4-year degree. The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps can help
teach you the life skills (discipline, leadership, teamwork and self-confidence)
that you will need to excel both during and after high school.
Our program fits in perfectly with your school schedule, meeting only two days per
month and scheduling longer trainings during the summer and winter recesses. We
strongly encourage all our cadets to do their very best academically. And to top
it all off, we happily provide strong letters of recommendation for highly successful
cadets in our unit.
Although we don’t pressure any of our graduating cadets to pursue a military career,
if military service is your goal, the NSCC can give you a competitive edge when
applying for a ROTC scholarship or to a military academy.
Just in the last two years, check out what Massachusetts Bay Division cadets have
accomplished:
- Two of our cadets have been nominated for the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis,
- One cadet has been nominated for the U.S. Military Academy (West Point),
- Six cadets have been accepted to Massachusetts Maritime Academy,
- Two cadets have been accepted to Norwich University, and
- Several others have been accepted to prestigious four-year public and private colleges
across the country!
