On January 4, 2009, Massachusetts Bay Division received it's second annual inspection.
Each Sea Cadet unit must undero an inspection each year. The regional director and the sponsoring committee review the unit's finances, strength of membership and quality of training programs to determine how effective the unit has been in meeting the goals of the NSCC program.
Massachusetts Bay Division, which leads Region 1-1 in membership numbers, received a 3.644 score and thereby qualifies for a certificate of Honor -- the highest award possible for a unit's inspection. Congratulations to the cadets and staff for a job very well done!
