Toys for Tots

Saturday, December 01, 2007

BOSTON, MA.- Massachusetts Bay Division announces that it will support Toys for Tots, an annual charitable program sponsored by the U.S Marine Corps Reserve that seeks to "deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders."

Participation in this worthwhile activity was inspired by the unit's senior cadets.  Cadets will collect gifts from current members, their families and friends, and bring them to our next meeting on December 8.  A select group of cadets will then deliver those gifts to a Toys for Tots drop-off location at the Massachusetts State House later this month.

Anyone interested in donating unwrapped gifts or making tax-deductible donations to the Toys for Tots program may do so by contacting LTJG Matt Landry, unit Commanding Officer.
